Overview

Lingya Ghat waterfall trek is on the way ahead of Lavasa City around 13.5 km, the name of this waterfall trek is based on the pinnacle seen there which is called Lingya. It is one of the best treks in Sahyadris and is famous during monsoon. The pinnacle is been worshipped by the local people. The base village for Lingya Ghat waterfall is Dhamanohol, Maharashtra. It is one of the best treks in Sahyadri.

This was a fantastic monsoon trek. It starts at Dhamanohol village is at the westernmost tip of Varasgaon dam. The last part of the road is in poor condition, hazardous to low-clearance cars. You see the watchtower at Ghatmatha and have to walk towards it – but it is easy to get lost. Best if you could get a guide at Dhamanohol. Note that I started recording a bit later, and we lost a bit of way towards the end of the return walk to Dhamanohol

Lingya Ghat waterfall goes down on the right side of the watch tower. Soon you get an amazing sight of the rock formation that looks like shivlinga, the surrounding mountains, and a pair of waterfalls. Continuing down the ghat, the trail traverses left and goes on to a plateau towards Kurdugad. On the way back, halfway, we turned upward using another trail called Nisanichi waat which reaches the top just at the watch tower.

Things  to carry:- (Few things in the list are optional)

• Please wear full pants and sleeves T-shirts to protect yourself from tanning, thorns, insects in the jungle

• Snacks(Energy bars, Chikki, Biscuits, Sprouts, Chips, Dry fruits)

• Glaucon D/Protein shakes/Gatorade/ORS

• Carry an extra pair of clothes which we can change after completion of the trek.

• 2/3 liters water. Shortage of water is faced during treks so please carry enough water. (Mandatory)

• Any personal medicine and personal first aid(Mandatory)

• Good grip trekking shoes (Mandatory)

• One day backpack/rucksack of 30 liters (Mandatory

• Sun cap and Sunscreen

• Rains are expected so please carry a rain cover /Jacket and cover your phones also in a plastic cover.

• Don’t bring any expensive and not required items during treks. Trekfit won't be responsible for any loss of phone/valuable item.

• Good torch with an extra battery if you have planned a night trek.

Cancellation Policy:-

1. If Trek gets canceled due to Police restrictions/any other unforeseen circumstances/natural calamity 40% of the amount will be refunded. Our trek leaders will try conducting some other near by trek and make your weekend happy. We always try to make your weekend the best one and as per the plan but in this time we need to make some changes to the plan.

2. If you cancel the trek on your own before 24 hrs of the event, 25% will be cancellation charges. On-the-spot cancellation/12 hrs before the trek will not be refunded.

3. Once the booking is done and if you cancel the trek the amount will not be refunded, but you can use the paid amount by attending any other event of trekfit adventures in the next 6 months/pass on your credit to your friend. but for this condition, you need to inform us 14 hrs before the trek departure.
