Located in the very famous Lonavala region, this trek to the unexplored hidden waterfall through dense jungles, valley views and fog; is a treat to the soul. Kataldhar is a 450ft rain-fed waterfall which derives its name from the two words- Katal meaning rocks and Dhar meaning a stream of water. The trek descends to the waterfall and is an ascend on your way back. What makes this trek beautiful is its unexploited nature since only a few trekkers know about it.

By road, you travel 3kms ahead of Della Adventures and the trek starts off road Rajmachi. By train, you can get off at Lonavla and start the trek from the station which is 5km away from the starting point of the trek. You can also hire local jeeps till the Rajmachi starting point.
Mango trees identify the start of this trek. Throughout the trek, ribbons are tied to the trees and stones are piled up to guide the way. Don’t miss these ribbons or else you will get completely lost as the trails are confusing.

What do you need to carry? : 3litres water, trekking shoes, full pants, full T-shirts, raincoats, extra set of clothes. Pack all your things in plastic bags.
- Wear full clothes, carry Odomos to protect yourself from mosquitoes.
- Good pair of shoes as the rocks are slippery.
- Carry a rope to help cross streams.Rope is also required to descend the last slippery patch to waterfall.
